Cala Goloritzé Boat Trip

Cala Goloritzé is the cove with the limestone spire at the southern end of the Gulf of Orosei. Boats may not land there, so a boat trip means swimming off it and landing at the coves around it. This small dinghy day from Cala Gonone does both.

How the Goloritzé Boat Day Works

Check in at the harbour, pay the environmental fee in cash, then seven hours along the coast.

  1. Check In at the Harbour

Check-in is at Viale Colombo 10 in Cala Gonone, before the morning departure; the listing is strict that late arrivals lose the trip without a refund. Bring cash for the environmental contribution of €5.50 a person.

  2. Along the Coast in a Small Dinghy

Up to 12 people on board. The skipper runs south along the cliffs from Cala Gonone towards Cala Goloritzé, explaining the coast as you go, with swim stops from the dinghy on the way.

  3. Three Beach Stops

Three coves at the skipper's choice among Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriala, the Piscine di Venere and Cala Mariolu, an hour or more each. You go ashore at each stop: you cannot stay on board.

  4. Swim Off Goloritzé, Then Back

Boats may not land at Cala Goloritzé, so the dinghy stops offshore for a swim with the spire above you. Lunch is not included: bring a packed lunch and water. About seven hours in all.

The Comparison

Goloritzé by Sea: Which Boat, From Which Harbour

Why you cannot land, the three kinds of boat that go there, the fees on top, and when they run.

No boat may land at Cala Goloritzé: the beach is reached on foot from the Golgo plateau, and boats stop offshore so you can swim below the spire. So a Cala Goloritzé boat trip is really a day along the Baunei coast, landing at the coves around it, with Goloritzé as the swim stop. From Cala Gonone the small-boat version is Agostino Charter’s dinghy excursion to Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritzé: up to 12 people, seven hours, from €70 a person (checked October 2026), rated 4.7 from 2,583 reviews. Add €5.50 in cash for the environmental contribution.

Why boats cannot land at Goloritzé

The Comune di Baunei manages Cala Goloritzé as a protected beach: landing from boats is not allowed and boats keep their distance, while walkers come down a trail of about 3.5 km from Su Porteddu on the Golgo plateau, with a booked ticket in season. In 2026 that meant a €7 ticket on the heartofsardinia.com portal, 250 people on the beach at a time, from 24 March to 15 November 2026. The Cala Goloritzé hike guide covers the walk and the booking.

The other coves on this coast, Cala Mariolu, Cala Biriala, Cala dei Gabbiani and Cala Sisine, can be landed on. The 2026 sea-landing booking on the same portal was required from 1 May, and it was suspended on 12 October 2026 for the end of the season. On a group boat trip, the boat handles this; you pay the environmental contribution at the harbour.

A small dinghy from Cala Gonone is the day most people mean. You land at three coves, swim from the boat in between, and get close to the cliffs in a way the big boats cannot. The trade-off is sun and spray: the listing suggests renting an umbrella and a cool bag, and there is no lunch on board.

A short RIB from Arbatax, Escursì’s three-hour tour, is the quick version from the south: past the Pedra Longa spires and the Grotta dei Colombi, a swim at Cala Mariolu and the view of Goloritzé, in three hours. Rated 4.8 from 1,021 reviews. It suits anyone staying around Arbatax, Tortolì or Santa Maria Navarrese.

A large motorboat from Cala Gonone, the consortium’s Gulf of Orosei cruise, is the cheaper, easier day: departures between 9:00 and 12:00, and at 7:30 every summer from 15 June to 30 September, an audio guide, three beach stops, usually Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu and Cala Sisine, and a photo stop off Goloritzé rather than a swim. Rated 4.4 from 1,589 reviews.

Check dates for the dinghy day

What it costs on top

Every boat from Cala Gonone adds an environmental contribution paid in cash before departure: €5.50 a person on the dinghy and the consortium cruise. The south-side cruises list their own, smaller ecological fees (€2 to €3). Lunch is not included on any of these trips; Cala Mariolu has a café, but take food and water. The Bue Marino cave is a separate ticket if a stop is offered.

When the boats run

The Cala Gonone boat consortium publishes a 2026 season from 27 March to 31 October, with service every day from Easter to All Saints and the full summer timetable from June to September. When we checked on 26 October 2026, the dinghy and the Arbatax RIB still had dates on 27 October 2026. For 2027, plan on boats from Easter, 28 March 2027; some operators open later, such as the consortium’s dinghy cruise with swim stops, whose first 2027 date is 15 April 2027. On the dinghy day the operator itself recommends the earlier of its two morning departures.

If you would rather have a boat to yourselves, the Cala Gonone boat trip page covers licence-free dinghy rental and a vintage sailing boat, and the Cala Luna page the shorter half-day to Cala Luna and the Bue Marino cave.

How these facts were checked

Written 26 October 2026. The Cala Goloritzé rules (no boat landing, the €7 ticket, 250 people at a time, 24 March to 15 November 2026) and the 2026 sea-landing booking for Cala Mariolu and the neighbouring coves are from the Comune di Baunei’s booking portal, heartofsardinia.com, and turismobaunei.eu. The boat season dates are from the Cala Gonone consortium’s 2026 tariff sheet. Prices, ratings, review counts, durations, departure times, fees and next dates are from the GetYourGuide listings, checked 25 and 26 October 2026. Prices and departures change with the season, so check the live calendar before you plan around a figure.
